I’ve been a bit quiet on the makeup of the day post, mainly because I tend to wear the same makeup. But I’m so happy with this makeup look, what I call understated glam that I wanted to share it with you. I’ll show some slightly different variations so you can see how you can mix it up.

Lancôme Teint Idole Ultra Wear Foundation*
This has been my go to foundation for coverage and longevity. I’ve done a full review here in case you want to check it out.
Becca Under Eye Brightening Corrector*
The Becca Under Eye Brightening Corrector is my first foray into brightening products and I finally understand all the fuss. Its creamy, easy to use and it actually works! Great to use on days you don’t want to wear makeup but also want some brightness under the eyes.

Disclaimer, before I share this review I want to be very clear that I don’t agree with Tarte’s approach to their new Shape Tape Foundation. As a woman of colour, I can honestly say I’m so sick of brands not creating foundation shades that match my skin. I’m not anti Tarte but I’m disappointed. So with the review below, I wrote it a couple of weeks ago. It honest, its in the moment and if you don’t want to read it I won’t get offended.
Not gonna lie, but I was pretty excited when Tarte launched their Clay Stick Foundation. About the Tarte Clay Stick Foundation:
- Retails for $54 AUD from the Tarte website or $57 AUD from Sephora Australia
- Available in 12 shades so a bit limiting
- Tarte states it is, “a 12-hour wear, creamy matte clay foundation stick that delivers weightless, natural-looking coverage and nutrients”.

Do you tend to over pack your makeup when you travel? If you answered yes, don’t feel alone, I’m with you sista. Recently I’ve come to the realisation I tend to not wear much makeup when I’m travelling, mainly because I go to hot places and I like to give my skin the opportunity to breath. So when we went on our honeymoon I wanted to bring a few makeup items so I felt pulled together but was also able to withstand the humidity- which I can proudly say they achieved both goals!
Maybelline Brow Tattoo*
Because I knew I wouldn’t be wearing much makeup, I wanted to make sure my brows were on point to balance out my lash extensions. I applied this every couple of days and I really felt it made me looked pulled together even without wearing makeup.
