The Things No One Tells You About When You’re Pregnant

Hi beauties,

Since getting pregnant I’ve learnt so much about the human body. There is so much that pregnant women don’t tell you, or maybe its just because I was the first out of my friends to get pregnant. Anyway google was my best friend but can also be a dangerous place when you’re trying to figure out if your symptoms are normal.

Bodily Fluids

So many bodily fluids! I started getting nose bleeds which is apparently normal. My teeth and gums became more sensitive- make sure to see your dentist before and while pregnant. And of course extra fluid down there- liners will be your best friend.

You Really Can’t Eat Whatever You Want

No one talks about gestational diabetes. Basically if you eat like crap, are overweight, or in my case genetically prone to diabetes you’re likely to get gestational diabetes. So don’t get carried away with the sweets, everything in moderation still applies.

Newborn Products We Swear By

Hi Guys,

One of my lovely followers asked for a blog post with all the products we swear by for Harry. When we first got pregnant we too didn’t know what to buy. We were so lucky to have my sister Laura who recommended pretty much all these products. So hopefully this helps you x

Cocoon Nest 4 in 1 Cot

We loved the idea that this went from Bassinet to Cot to Toddler Bed. It was super easy to assemble which was also a bonus. Another reason we bought this cot was that it had wheels so it was easy to move to other rooms and it was a lower height making it easy for my mum to reach in the cot as well.

Maternity Fashion

Hi guys,

Since getting pregnant I’ve really struggled to find my maternity style. But after a couple of months of trial and error I finally found some outfits that really worked for me and the bump. My biggest tips:

  • Don’t spend too much on clothes. My favourite shops; cheap clothing stores, Cotton On, Kmart and Target.
  • Wear fitted clothes. When I wore loose clothes I felt I looked fat- while fitted clothes embraced the bump.
  • You don’t actually have to buy maternity clothes. Most of my clothes were normal clothes just up a size or two.
  • Try to avoid buying a new coat if its winter. I was able to get away with wearing my coats from last season, they just didn’t close over the bump.

Here’s some of my favourite outfits throughout my pregnancy.

Fitted Skirt and T-shirt Tied Up

The skirt is a no name, but I also picked up a plain black cotton skirt from ASOS Maternity. Great to keep the bottoms neutral and mix up the outfits with different t-shirts.
