It’s that time of year in Australia when the winds have changed, the days are getting shorter and the temperature has dropped dramatically. When the weather gets colder, my skin gets dryer and that’s when I bring out these old favourites containing Hyaluronic Acid.
Now I’m no scientist, so I don’t know the ins and outs about Hyaluronic Acid but this is what I’ve learnt over time. Hyaluronic Acid is a key ingredient that leaves your skin feeling hydrated. You’ll find this in most anti-aging skincare products as it’s an amazing ingredient for retaining moisture in the skin. Here’s some of my faves that I always turn to when my skin is feeling dehydrated.
Indeed Laboratories Hydraluron*
This is an oldie but a goodie, recommended by the Skincare Guru Caroline Hirons. Hydraluron is a thin serum that I apply before my moisturiser at night. I love that it’s so light weight but leaves my skin feeling really hydrated. Also, this is a really affordable drugstore serum!

Another month, another round of empties. This month’s a bit different as I started off by clearing out some old and unloved items from my beauty collection. Below is a stack of lip products that I’ve decided to throw away as I don’t use them. Not a negative, some are really good but I just don’t use them.
Wella SP Colour Save Conditioner
I’ve repurchased this conditioner multiple times, not because I think its amazing but because my hairdresser recommended it. Don’t think its anything special and will try something new.
Sephora Argan Hand Mask*
The packaging of the hand mask is amazing! No leakage and easy to use. I found that it did hydrate my hands but at the same time wasn’t anything special. Might try again before my wedding…
Estee Lauder DayWear BB Cream
One of the best BB Creams I’ve ever tried but its a tad light so its time to bin it. Really good coverage and lasts well on oily skin. I got my girlfriend hooked on it and she swears by it as her every day foundation.

As some of you may be aware, I’m a Sydney representative for Bloggers United Australia. If you’re a blogger you need to get involved! Bloggers United is a community of bloggers that enables bloggers to connect with brands but also with other bloggers, to ask questions and bounce ideas off. Make sure to find Bloggers United Australia on Facebook and Instagram.
We recently held our second event for Sydney with great success! We had a different format focusing more on connecting bloggers and discussing how to improve our blogs. We discussed the tough issues such as how do you negotiate a sponsored post? Do you need to disclose products have been gifted? How do I increase my engagement?
In addition to our event, all attendees took home an amazing goodie bag! All the products have been kindly donated by brands that we work closely with. Here’s a quick insight into what products were provided!
