What to Watch These Holidays

Hi lovelies,

Here’s some of the movies and tv shows I’ve watched over the year and really enjoyed. There’s a mixture of thinking movies and easy rom coms. I’ve featured relatively new ones, because if I talked about all my old school favourites like Harry Potter we’ll be here a while.

Office Christmas Party

To start off you can’t go past a naughty Christmas movie. Make sure to check this out if you want something non traditional, controversial and lots of laugh.

Office Christmas Party

Get Out

I always recommend this movie because its so well done. Its a psychological thriller, but not scary. The story revolves around a white girl bringing home her black boyfriend. I can’t really go into more detail but please watch this movie.

Get Out

The Boy

The Boy is about a young lady, going to a country estate to be a live in nanny. When she goes to the house to meet the child, she realises its a doll. The parents then kill themselves and she is responsible for continuing to look after the boy/ doll. There’s a massive twist in the end, so I’ll stop here. Its a bit of a scary movie but not too scary.

A Quiet Place

Another great drama thriller! Make sure to watch it at night with the lights off. Its very dramatic as its quiet throughout the whole movie, with no music which is surprisingly creepy.

Didn’t expect this movie to be anything special, but its actually hilarious. Its about 3 best friends that are about to go to their high school prom and they make a sex pact. Their parents try to stop it and lets just say its hilarious.

Black Panther

One of the best Marvel movies I’ve seen. The fight scenes are amazing and its so bright and colourful!

Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle

The remake of Jumanji was so much better than expected, even Ben loved it. If truth be told I think he loved it more than me. The concept is the same but the story is very different.

Jumanji Welcome to the Jungle

Another Dwayne The Rock Johnson film- can you tell I love him? This is a typical action film but so good! Probably better to watch in the cinema, but still great to watch at home when you want an easy movie.

The Handmaid’s Tale

After reading the book I wanted to see the series and I think the series is even better than the book. Ben hasn’t read the book but he loves it too. The only way I can explain it is, there seems to be a civil war and the government in power makes the country more “Amish”, but still technological relevant but very religious. Its challenges everything that we believe in, in this day and age.

I am way to obsessed with Wentworth! Its is honestly one of the best Australian dramas ever created! Its based in a women’s prison but has no similarities to Orange is the New Black- this is way better! The story line is intense and keeps you hooked- all the way to season 7. Make sure to watch this series! We binged on it last holidays- it was so good!

So that’s what I’ve been loving to watch this year! Let me know in the comments section if there’s anything else I should add to my viewing list.

New posts every Sunday and Thursday!
