Hey guys,
So yet again I’m late on the Boohoo bandwagon.. But after seeing so many great Boohoo purchases by my colleague I knew I had to try it. Boohoo is known for being on trend yet affordable and fast delivery. And I agree with all 3 statements! Better yet Boohoo always have sales sometimes 30% off and other times 40% off. Make sure to keep an eye on their sales.
So here’s what I bought an my thoughts on each….
Lola Check Double Breasted Wool Blazer
I wanted to try the Check Blazer trend with out spending the $$. It’s suprisingly thick and warm for a $30 blazer which is a plus. The downside is the length is a tad long for me. With heels it looks fine but with flats I feel short. Also its an oversized blazer so make sure to go down a size. I’m normally a size 10 and bought a 10 but which I went down a size. Overall can’t complain since it was only $30.
Sintha Spot Print Wrap Midi Shirt Dress
Such a random and impulse purchase but my favourite! The material is a bit stiff and scratchy but for $20 can’t complain. The positive is, you don’t have to iron which is awesome! I wear this when I’m going for a “corporate” look.
I love that its not tight, its long, it has side slits for some added leg but still conservative. As you can see I do fold up the sleeves mainly because I’m such a shorty, but it also adds a bit more texture.
Anna Keyhole Turtle Neck Jumper
Another impulse purchase mainly to get free shipping. I think in theory its nice, but as someone who has lumps and bumps its not the most flattering jumper I own. Its very tight fitting, and personally I wouldn’t feel comfortable wearing it with anything not high waisted- hence why I teamed it up with my Topshop Jamie jeans.
Also with the little heyhole, you need to make sure to wear a bra that has a v, and scoops low. Don’t wear a balconette bra, it just doesn’t work.
So as you can see the quality and sizing really does vary. I think its a bit of trial and error with Boohoo. Its not my favourite place to shop online, but I’d probably shop again with them. The shipping was fast, and I think they offer free shipping when you spend $50 or more. I haven’t done a refund with them but I think you have to pay for it yourself, which I’m too stingy to do which is why I kept all my Boohoo purchase.

New posts every Sunday and Thursday!
Great post babe. I’ve ordered from Boohoo a few times. I tend to shop on there when I’m after trend pieces. I brought a long coat from there a few years back and it’s still going strong haha! You should check out missguided too. I find the quality of their clothes a bit better and their prices are very similar.

I agree, great for trend pieces that you don’t want to spend too much on. I’ll have to try missguided- I haven’t tried them either eek!

These suit you really well! I’ve shopped from boohoo once, and found it to be a hit and miss too. I bought a wrap dress from their petite range and it fit perfectly! But on the other hand, I bought a dress from them and it didn’t fit properly – the v line was way too low for me. I’m the same as you when it comes to returns haha – otherwise I would’ve returned that dress in a heart beat.

Glad I’m not alone! With wrap dresses they can be so low which is so annoying. Have you tried using a pin to close up the front a bit?

I have considered using a pin, but I’m afraid of making a hole in it because it might ruin the dress or something.

Love the look of all of these! Short girls unite, I always have to roll everything as well. Love the blazer the most but agree it would be better if 10cm shorter maybe?
