I’ve been a bit quiet on the makeup of the day post, mainly because I tend to wear the same makeup. But I’m so happy with this makeup look, what I call understated glam that I wanted to share it with you. I’ll show some slightly different variations so you can see how you can mix it up.
Cover FX Blurring Primer*
Lancôme Teint Idole Ultra Wear Foundation*
This has been my go to foundation for coverage and longevity. I’ve done a full review here in case you want to check it out.
Becca Under Eye Brightening Corrector*
The Becca Under Eye Brightening Corrector is my first foray into brightening products and I finally understand all the fuss. Its creamy, easy to use and it actually works! Great to use on days you don’t want to wear makeup but also want some brightness under the eyes.
Thin Lizzy Crémé Concealer- Pacific Sun*
Becca Under Eye Brightening Setting Powder*
Another new favourite but works brilliantly at brightening. Click here to check out my review of the Becca Brightening products.
Kat Von D Lock It Powder*
To set my whole face I use the Kat Von D Lock It Powder. Its a great translucent powder and not too mattifying.
Benefit Brow Zing
Tarte Clay Play Face Shaping Palette*
This is such a great palette for contouring and eye makeup. I use this to contour but also on my eyes for an all matte look. In this instance I used the medium matte brown shade in the crease and lower lash line for some definition. And if I want a bit more warmth I also add the warm/ orange toned eyeshadow.
Becca X Jaclyn Hill Palette
H&M Colour Essence Eye Cream-
Now this is the star of the show. I picked up the H&M Cream Eyeshadow when I was overseas and I’m so in love with it. Its my one pot wonder, just a little bit on the eyes and I feel my makeup look is complete. Its a creamy/ mousey texture that is blendable but sets really well and doesn’t crease on my eyelids. H&M Beauty is not available in Australia so for other alternatives I would recommend MAC Paint Pots and Charlotte Tilbury Eyes to Mesmerise.
Maybelline X Gigi Hadid Fibre Mascara
I haven’t been using the fibres much but the mascara part is amazing! It adds volume, length and holds a curl really well. Also I tend to wear false lashes on top if I want some extra glam. My faves are Huda Beauty in Samantha or Glam by Manicare in Natural.
Dose of Colors Liquid Lipstick in Brick
My go to lipstick at the moment is Brick, which funnily enough I’m not wearing in either photo. Because this makeup look is so simple you really can wear any lipstick. Up the top I’m wearing Kylie Cosmetics Liquid Lipstick in Ginger. And in the bottom photo I’m wearing Burberry Lip Contour.
Below I’m wearing Dose of Colours in Brick x
