Hello beauties,
Do you tend to over pack your makeup when you travel? If you answered yes, don’t feel alone, I’m with you sista. Recently I’ve come to the realisation I tend to not wear much makeup when I’m travelling, mainly because I go to hot places and I like to give my skin the opportunity to breath. So when we went on our honeymoon I wanted to bring a few makeup items so I felt pulled together but was also able to withstand the humidity- which I can proudly say they achieved both goals!
Maybelline Brow Tattoo*
Because I knew I wouldn’t be wearing much makeup, I wanted to make sure my brows were on point to balance out my lash extensions. I applied this every couple of days and I really felt it made me looked pulled together even without wearing makeup.
Maybelline Stay Matte Primer*
Great long wearing primer, doesn’t feel like silicone and has a lovely thin/ runny texture.
Benefit Brow Kit
I use this every day, can’t live without it.
Thin Lizzy Créme Concealer*
My go to concealer.
Tarte Amazonian Clay Foundation
I’ve raved about this foundation so many times. I love it for warm weather because I swear it works better the oiler I get. I was a little hesitant using this foundation with a new primer as some primers don’t work well with this. But I can say the Maybelline primer works really well with this foundation.
With the below, I made Ben take a detour and by this stage we had been walking around Sinagpore for an hour in 90% humidity. But look at my makeup- flawless!
Revlon Contour Kit*
I love this to set my undereyes and for bronzing and contouring. The highlighter is gorgeous, but because I’m quite tanned I like to use more gold tone highlighters which is why I don’t tend to use this too much.
Becca X Jaclyn Hill Face Palette
You guys know my obsession about this palette. I use this pretty much daily for the blushes and highlighters.
MAC Lady Danger
For bright lips I went with Lady Danger, the most perfect redy orange lipstick.
Stevie K Clay Baby
For nude I had to go with my latest obsession Clay Baby. But if I’m completely honest I didn’t actually use this while away. So out of everything this was the only item that I didn’t use.
Cover FX Mattifying Setting Spray*
Honestly the best setting spray! My makeup didn’t budge at all which is a massive compliment since it was so humid and sweaty both in Singapore and the Maldives.
With the below, it was on the same night as the other photo but probably another 30 to 45 minutes later. But can we just take a moment to appreciate the fact that my makeup looks great! Honestly that Cover FX Setting Spray is amazing!

That foundation sounds amazing! I have used the liquid version of it and didn’t love it, but this one sounds perfect for the warmer weather! Your make up does look flawless in all of those photos!
