Hello beauties,
As you all know I’m pretty new to the whole setting spray world. I’ve been experimenting for over a year and have finally found a few that actually work! Click here to check out my recap of my growing makeup setting spray collection.
Urban Decay All Nighter Setting Spray
One of the originals when it comes to setting sprays. After using this throughout summer last year I finally understood the hype. This setting spray is amazing and makeup literally doesn’t budge. I used this for my bestie’s wedding and hen’s night which were both in summer and my makeup looked amazing at the end of the night. What’s also really good about this spray is it doesn’t make you look matte. I’ve just run out of this but am planning on repurchasing after I finish up the next two mentioned below.
The Cover FX Mattifying Spray is a new setting spray and has easily become my go to over the year. I haven’t talked about this to much as I wanted to give it a proper go in summer before I recommended it. Well the verdict is in, it bloody works! The only down side is it does make your makeup look matte or a bit of the flat side. Probably not suitable for dry skin folk. I also used this for my wedding day and while we were on our honeymoon and my makeup lasted really well.
With the below photo, it was taken at the end of the day. Personally I think my makeup looks pretty dang good, thanks to Cover FX!

Algenist Hydrating Setting Spray*
Now this isn’t an all time fave like the other two but I thought I would include as its underrated while being pretty darn good. If it’s a warm day then I tend to use this, but if it’s a stinking hot day then I won’t use this setting spray. Throughout autumn and spring this was my go to as it made my makeup last without drying out my skin and adds some luminosity. If you have dry skin or dehydrated skin then you should try this setting spray.
So there you have my two favourite setting sprays. What’s your go to setting spray?
