I thought I would share my whole beauty preparation in the lead up to my wedding. While it seems lengthy, most of its just ongoing maintenance that I would normally do anyway.

Get your skin and hair in order. For me skin was my priority. I wanted clear, beautiful skin. I mean who doesn’t? 1 year before the wedding I vowed to stop trying new skincare products and to stick with Ultraceuticals*. Ultra products work beautifully with my skin. I’m not saying you have to use Ultraceuticals but you need to find a skincare routine that works for you.
Hair wise, decide what colour and length you want. For me I wasn’t changing the colour so it was all about maintenance. For length I had to grow my hair a bit more, which meant less trims and regular hair masks to make sure my hair looked nourished and healthy.
Another thing to think about is, do you want do your hair and makeup yourself? For me I decided yes as I know what I like and am never truly happy when someone does my hair and makeup. If you want someone to do your hair and makeup, get in quick, they book up quickly.

Once a month facials and treatments. My skin looks its best when I do regular Ultraceuticals treatments and team it up with a diligent skincare routine.
4 months to go
At the 4 month mark I freaked out a little bit and was like, shit I need to eat healthier and tone up. You would have seen my regular training sessions and all the healthy good I’ve been eating. Over the past couple of months I’ve minimised my sugar and alcohol intake gradually.
The week before
Last Ultraceuticals facials. Over the past couple of months I realised that my skin can get a bit flaky after my Ultra facial but by day 4 or 5 there is no flakiness at all hence why I’ve booked in my facial a fair bit in advance.
The day before
All my hair and beautician appointments are booked in. For my hair I’m booked in for a colour, trim and blow dry to make it easier to style my hair on the day.
For my beautician appointment, its all about nails, waxing and eyelash extensions. I’ve decided to do eyelash extensions as I didn’t want to fuss around with false lashes on the day.
Another thing I plan to do the night before is a face mask. Depending on how my skin looks, that could be a hydrating mask, detoxing mask or an exfoliating mask.
In the shower I’ll use the Frank Body Shimmer Scrub to leave my skin super glowy. Once I’m out of the shower I’ll layer on my Aesop Geranium Body Balm- it smells divine!
While I do my hair I’ll also use the Skin Republic Eye Masks*, so good for hydrated and tired eyes. Lets be real I’ll probably not sleep well the night before. Then after hair onto the makeup. I’ve included a photo of the makeup I think I’ll be using.
So there you have it! My big run down. I’ll make sure to update you and let you know if there’s anything I would change x
