Best New Releases of 2017

Hello beauties,

2017 has been another year of amazing new beauty launches! With so many amazing products and lets be real, the marketing and hype always makes us want to buy everything. So to make your life easier, I did a quick recap of my favourite new releases of 2017. These are the products I keep going to.

Cover FX Blurring Primer*

I’ve been using this primer almost daily. I find it very similar to the Benefit Porefessional, so if you like that then you will love this primer.

NYX Total Control Drop Foundation*

You all know my obsession with this foundation. Its taken me a while to finally use it, but once I tried it I couldn’t put it down. The coverage is deceptively full consider it has such a thin texture. And it lasts so well throughout the day. Click the link to check out my review.

First Aid Beauty Triple Protection Skin Tint with Goji Berry SPF 30*

I would say this has been my second favourite foundation as it provides lighter coverage and doesn’t last as long. I know I’m starting with the negatives, but I promise it’s a great foundation. It’s like MAC Face and Body but with better ingredients. The other negative is the poor shade range. Click the link to check out my review.

Kat Von D Lock It Setting Powder*

I wasn’t planning on including this but then upon review of all my blog posts from the year I realised I use this almost daily to set my foundation. I love that its truly translucent, not heavy or cakey.

Maybelline Tattoo Brow 3 Day Gel Tint*

One of the most scariest new releases but oh so good! I’ve never tinted my brows so this got me excited but the peeling concept freaked me out. I’ve been using this regularly since I first got it and I’m a convert. I love how easy it is to use and the beautiful defined effect. I’ve got mum hooked on it as well. Click here for a full review.

Tarte Clay Play Face Shaping Palette*

You all know my obsession for this palette so I won’t harp on about it. Just buy it.

Cover FX Mattifying Mist*

Now this is one of the best setting sprays I have ever tried. Makeup literally doesn’t budge! The negative is that its actually mattifying. So for all us glow lovers this isn’t for you. Oily gals, you need this in your life.

Algenist Hydrating Setting Spray*

When I tried this setting spray I didn’t expect much. After a couple of uses I realised I wasn’t getting oily, then again it was winter. I’m a tough critic.. So I put it to the test on my Hen’s which turned from a day to night event and lets just say my makeup looked pretty darn good at the end of the night. I’ve put a drunko photo just so you can see how good my makeup looked (probably going to delete it soon after- so take your screen shots now haha!).

LÓreal Clay Cleansers- Red Algae*

This year I haven’t really experimented with skincare as I’ve been very loyal to Ultraceuticals. But when these cleansers were sent to me I got pretty darn excited. I was so surprised to realise that the Red Algae, exfoliating cleanser was my fave! Great if you have oily or combo skin. If you have dry skin you should steer clear of these cleansers.

So there you have my faves from 2017. What new products have you been loving?

  1. Some great picks! Love that you’ve done this earlier in the year rather than in January, I always feel like it’s too late then and everyone is looking forward to the New Year releases.

  2. I want to love the Maybelline Tattoo Brow so badly but I can’t get it to last longer than 24 hours! 😦 I looove the effect – it basically gives me eyebrows but as soon as I wash my face it basically washes out and I’m left with a super faint tint. I even avoided wetting my brows for 24 hrs but yeah, can’t get it to last 😦
