Hello lovelies,
With my wedding fast approaching, I knew I had to get onto my fitness asap! I’ve been really active the past couple of months, but its always the food that lets me down. Here’s my tips to stay fit and healthy this winter.
Food prep
Sunday is my big food prep day. I plan what I’m going to eat throughout the week so I won’t be naughty and also don’t have to stress about cooking the night before. I’ve been eating a lot of Cajun Chicken Salad (pictured below) which is my fave and also some healthy chicken and rice combos.
Morning work outs
I know it’s cold, but it’s cold all the time. Personally, I prefer to work out in the morning so I can get it over and done with. I also find if I don’t work out in the morning, I feel lethargic throughout the day.
Try new classes/ exercises
Working out can get boring so you need to mix it up. Currently I’ve been doing Kayla Itsines 12 Week Bikini Body Program which has been great at building my fitness and toning my body.
Incorporate more walking into your day
This is an easy one to do but a goodie. Bae and I have just started walking to the station which has increased my daily steps. For some reason I still can’t hit 10,000 steps a day but I’m getting so much closer!
Treat Yo Self!
With all the working out, I think it’s so important to remember to reward yourself. My guilty pleasure is chocolate, however my addiction is getting out of hand so I need to reign it in again. Another healthier alternative, is to buy new active wear! If you’re going to work out you should at least look hot!
Hope you liked some of my recommendations. Please let me know some of your healthy recipes. I need to get more creative in the kitchen.
New posts every Sunday, Tuesday and Thursday!
The Cajun Chicken looks yummy and I agree food prep is such a great tip. Helps with feeling organised too!

I was doing well with meal prep but now my hours are so bad I just don’t have the time for bulk cooking. I’d love to get back into it!

I know it takes so much time and you have to be so organised but it really does help. Even if you can make left overs each night I’m sure it will help xx

Yep! That’s the way I tend to cook at the moment. I always make more than needed for dinner so that I have easy left overs for the rest of the week. But in saying that it’s not a full on meal prep schedule!

I am always so in awe of your food prep! I need to get better at doing that, otherwise I just buy something that isn’t very good and have instant regrets. I big on the treat yourself! But I have been loving dark chocolate lately as a treat, and I can usually only handle a couple of pieces at a time!

I do tend to get a bit carried away with my meal prep, but its so good that I don’t have to stress about what I’m going to eat during the week. I also find I save so much money as well!
