It’s that time of year in Australia when the winds have changed, the days are getting shorter and the temperature has dropped dramatically. When the weather gets colder, my skin gets dryer and that’s when I bring out these old favourites containing Hyaluronic Acid.
Now I’m no scientist, so I don’t know the ins and outs about Hyaluronic Acid but this is what I’ve learnt over time. Hyaluronic Acid is a key ingredient that leaves your skin feeling hydrated. You’ll find this in most anti-aging skincare products as it’s an amazing ingredient for retaining moisture in the skin. Here’s some of my faves that I always turn to when my skin is feeling dehydrated.
This is an oldie but a goodie, recommended by the Skincare Guru Caroline Hirons. Hydraluron is a thin serum that I apply before my moisturiser at night. I love that it’s so light weight but leaves my skin feeling really hydrated. Also, this is a really affordable drugstore serum!
Now on the flip side, the For Beloved serum is a pricey luxe product but oh so good! I love that this is a super lightweight serum, it literally feels like water. When you apply it to your skin it feels like nothing and gets absorbed almost instantaneously. This is a great serum if you love light weight serums and need something really hydrating.
I’ll tell you a funny story about this because I actually forgot about this moisturiser, even though I absolutely love it and have gone through multiple tubs of this. I remembered this moisturiser, as it miraculously reappeared on my bathroom shelf as Bae found it at the back of our bathroom cabinet and decided to use it again. You know it’s cold when Bae starts moisturising. This is the only moisturiser Bae will use. He loves it because its thin and light weight but still leaves his skin hydrated. I completely agree with him.
So, there you are, two recommendations from me and one from Bae. What are your favourite skincare products to use in the cooler months?
Also, I would really appreciate if you gave my Facebook page a like, at rachel beauty style. Thank you xx
