Hi Beauties,
I had the lovely pleasure of being invited to check out the new makeup releases from Elizabeth Arden earlier in the month. Over the past couple of weeks I’ve had a bit of play with the new products and wanted to create this date night makeup look for you and share my thoughts on the new products.
Elizabeth Arden Eye Shadow Trio*
These gorgeous eyeshadow trios come in 10 different shade options from your purples and plums to blue and your gorgeous bronze tones. For this look I used the Forever Plum Trio. To start I used a MAC matte mauve eyeshadow in Quarry in my crease and lower lash line. Moving onto the eye lid, for the inner half I used the middle shade from the Trio. For the outer half of the eyelid I used the darkest shade. I applied the eyeshadows using the same flat shader brush and then blended the edges with a fluffy brush.
The eyeshadows are really buttery, pigmented and easy to blend. They are all sparkly however have no fall out. Personally I would have liked the addition of at least one matte shade.
Elizabeth Arden Lasting Impression Mascara*
This mascara is infused with Ceramides for strong, healthier lashes. I find that this mascara is great for adding length but not volume. I love that the brush really does grip onto all lashes, allowing you to get really close to the lash line. I’ve been loving using this mascara every day to naturally enhance and define my eyes.
Elizabeth Arden Statement Brow Defining Gel*
These brow gels come in 4 different shades. I have the shade Medium which is surprisingly light on the wand, however when applied to the brows its blends perfectly with my dark hairs. At first I thought I wouldn’t like the big rounded brush head, but it works! It grips onto my eyebrow hairs perfect, adds texture and doesn’t make my brows crunchy. I’ve been really impressed with this brow gel and have loved using this every day.
Elizabeth Arden Sheer Kiss Oil*
These lip oils look so cute! While at first I thought the packaging was gimmicky, it works a treat! Its easy to apply and open and close the lid. In the below image I’m wearing Pampering Pink which is quiet nude on me. Because these are lip oils they aren’t that pigmented but I’m ok with that. I feel these are a hybrid between a lip oil and lip gloss, they’re a bit sticky so you get some hold but aren’t annoying like a traditional lip gloss.
Dare to Bare Body Bronzing Oil*
Elizabeth Arden launched this gorgeous body oil which ideally would be great for summer, but also beautiful in winter for some added glow. I applied a bit to my decolletage but it doesn’t seem to be coming up in the photos. You can apply directly onto the skin or mix in with a bit of body moisturiser.
Below I mixed up the look by using a darker lipstick. Below I’m wearing MAC Whirl Lipstick.
And here’s the whole outfit to match with the makeup. I went for a blush toned look, which is quiet different to my usual black.
