Its that time of year where we all wear bolder, berry toned winter lippies. Here’s a few of my faves that I wanted to share with you all.
MAC Lipstick- Ruby Woo
A classic red that I’ve been obsessed with. My tip is to apply the lip liner first as it makes the application so much easier and the finish looks a lot better. Please note, I did not use the lip liner below and totally regret it. The only down fall with this lipstick is, it has a matte finish so its a bit drying for winter.
Antipodes Moisture Boost Natural Lipstick in Oriental Plum*
I think this is a great dupe for my other winter fave, MAC Rebel. Its a bit lighter and has a more pinky undertone. What I love about this lippie is, that its so natural that you can eat it and its so moisturising which is great when your lips are so freaking dry!
Maybelline Color Sensational Loaded Bolds in Blackest Berry*
The Color Sensational Loaded Bolds are a new lipstick range for Maybelline. The range contains only bold colours that are semi-matte, so not too hydrating and not too moisturising. Now this colour is very bold and out of my comfort zone but I’m kinda digging it.
Kat Von D Liquid Lipstick in Vampira
Kat Von D liquid lipsticks have to be one of the best in the market. I love this shade but tend to get scared of wearing it and I hate to reapply it. With this one, I really should use a lip brush to apply the edges as its really hard to be precise. This is a great long lasting lipstick that doesn’t need to be reapplied too often.
Wearing MAC lipstick in Film Noir
I love this shade! I find it quite similar to Vampira but in a shiny finish and its more brown tone. But there’s something weird about this formula, while its a hydrating formula I feel it tugs a bit when applying. With this lippie make sure to take your time to apply it.
Hope you liked my winter lipstick recommendations. Yes they’re all on the bright and bold side, but you know me, I’m more comfortable in bold colours x
