Hello beauties,
If you follow me on Instagram you would know that my skin has become quite dry and dehydrated with the change in weather. So, I decided to nip it in the butt and immediately my overall skin texture has improved by using these products.
For a first cleanse I’ve been using an old favourite the Emma Hardie cleansing balm. It’s so nourishing on the skin, removes all makeup and leaves your skin feeling hydrated. Because I have oily/ acne prone skin I need to go in with a second cleanse.
Ultraceuticals Ultra Balancing Gel Cleanser*
I love this cleanser, it’s so gentle and doesn’t strip my skin of its natural oils.
Hydraluron is a cult beauty favourite. I haven’t used this in years, but can remember now why I loved it so much. Hydraluron contains Hylauronic Acid which is a key ingredient to retain moisture in your skin. I apply about a pea size then continue with my skincare routine.
You know my love for this face oil! It’s a hybrid face oil that contains all the goodies; rosehip oil, almond oil, jojoba oil, macadamia oil, brazil nut oil, evening primrose oil and much more! In summer I would apply 2 drops but with the colder weather I apply anywhere up to 4 drops a night. I start by patting the oil onto my skin then massage it in.
Ultraceuticals Ultra Hydrating Lotion*
I then apply some of this light weight lotion onto my face. At this stage I find it hydrating enough, but when its gets a bit colder I might bump up my moisturiser to something more creamy and rich.
Edible Beauty & Gold Rush Eye Balm*
And to finish off I apply this beautiful, luxe eye cream. This is a really special eye cream as it has real gold flecks in it. Now I don’t know what it does, but I love it!
I found that within a week of using these products my skin was hydrated and back to normal! With my evening skincare routine I do tend to mix it up, but with winter fast approaching I’m making sure to integrate more hydrating products. What’s your go to skincare products for winter?
Also, I would really appreciate if you gave my Facebook page a like, at rachel beauty style. Thank you xx

Loved reading what you use Rachel – I have a similar skin type, oily-T but the rest of my face almost shrivels up as soon as the temp drops below 15 degrees lol. I’m experimenting with heaps of products at the moment, but my night time cream is almost always Antipodes Avocado Pear – my skin loves it, and I adore the fragrance xxx
