Review: Skinstitut Cleansers

Hello beauties,

You would have seen Skinstitut Cleansers popping up on a more regular basis on my Instagram feed. That’s because I’ve loved using them! Sorry, I just ruined this whole review, silly blogger…

Anyway, the point to this post is to share with you, all the different Skinstitut Cleansers and suggest which ones are suitable for your skin needs. Disclaimer; I have oily/ combination skin and my skin is not sensitive at all.

Skinstitut Gentle Cleanser*

Now I didn’t expect much from this cleanser, but I feel in love instantly with it. It’s a gel cleanser and smells like green apples. A little of this cleanser goes a long way and it foams up well. While this cleanser is great for all skin types, if you have sensitive skin then this is a must.

Skinstitut L-Lactic Cleanser*

Again, I didn’t expect much from this cleanser. You would think by now I would have learnt that the Skinstitut cleansers are amazing! This cleanser contains L-Lactic Acid, which is a more gentle chemical exfoliant to Glycolic Acid.  This cleanser has a similar texture to the Gentle Cleanser and has a sweet smell that I can’t quite pin point. Again, I think this cleanser is great for all skin types. If you’re scared to try Glycolic Acid, then this is a great introduction into Acids.

Skinstitut Glycolic Cleanser 12%*

Now this is my favourite cleanser from the range, as it targets all my skin concerns. Glycolic Acid is my favourite chemical exfoliant, its gentle on my skin and leaves me with radiant skin. This product is great if you are acne prone or are looking for anti-aging products. The only down side is, it has a weird slimy texture and doesn’t smell great.

Skinstitut Glycolic Scrub 14%*

Now you all know I don’t like physical exfoliants, but this is the exception. Sometimes when I want a manual exfoliation for a little something extra then this is my go to. Its gentle yet effective and leaves my skin looking radiant. Quick tip, if you need to perk up your skin before a special event use this before applying your makeup. If you have sensitive skin, I would steer clear of this and recomment the Glycolic Cleanser as its less abrasive but will still be effective.

I hope this helps you with navigating through the various Skinstitut Cleansers. Feel free to ask any questions below xx

  1. I freaking love Skinstitut cleansers! I have all of these except the gentle cleanser. The Glycolic cleanser is probably my favourite too – I find it really gentle and great for everyday but still somewhat exfoliating. I agree about the scent and texture though haha!

    Tasha // shiwashiful.

  2. Ooo the gentle cleanser sounds so lovely! I have only used the Laser Aid cream from their range but I really liked it and it helped to soothe my skin 🙂 x

  3. I too have and oily combo skin Rachel, and it’s not the least bit sensitive to anything so these sound perfect for me. Oh I do love a fabulous fragrance in my skin care products, and you got me with the apple one lol xxx
