Hello beauties,
Now I know we haven’t even had Christmas yet, but I’m jumping the gun and getting excited about New Year’s Eve! I wanted to share a makeup look I created for my work Christmas party but could totally be recreated for New Year’s Eve. I really wanted to create a look with glitter, because they’re not many times in the year we can wear glitter, so YOLO! You can easily change the glitter to match whatever you’re wearing xx
1. MAC Paint Pot- Quite Natural
Because I was going to use glitter, I decided it was best to start with the eyes first. I applied the MAC paint pot all over the lids and blended the edges with a fluffy brush.
2. Rimmel Exaggerate Automatic Waterproof Eye Define- Black*
I applied the black eye liner in my water line, tight line and top lash line for some added definition.
3. MAC Glitter- Reigning Riches
Now onto the star of the show, the beautiful glitter! To start off with, I held a piece of tissue under my eye so it would catch the fall out. Then using a flat shader brush, I pushed the glitter onto my lid until I created the desired effect. If you have glitter glue I would recommend applying beforehand. I didn’t want to buy any so I just used the MAC Paint Pot as a sticky base. Another alternative would be to apply some lash glue, but I not sure how safe that would be….
4. MAC Eyeshadow- Spectacle of Yourself
Using a cranberry toned eyeshadow I applied this to my lower lash line to smoke it out further.
5. Loreal False Lash Butterfly Sculpt Mascara*
To finish off the eyes, I applied mascara to my top and bottom lashes. False lashes would also look amazing with this look, but I didn’t have enough time…
Moving onto the face! Before starting, I used some sticky tape and rolled it onto my face to remove most of the specs of glitter. It did a great job, but I still had some glitter on my face. After the majority of the glitter was removed, I applied my primer and then moved onto foundation.
7. Innoxa Age Rewind Serum Foundation and Loreal True Match Foundation
8. Thin Lizzy Crème Concealer- Pacific Sun*
9. Revlon Sculpt and Highlight Contour Kit- Medium*
Using the banana shade, I applied this to my under eye area and lightly dusted my whole face. Then moving onto the contour and bronzer shade, I applied this in a 3 motion. As you would have noticed I’ve been using this a lot more and have grown to love this palette! Well worth the money.
11. Milani Baked Blush- Berry Amore
13. Maybelline Color Drama- Nude Perfection
