You would have seen the new release Rimmel Magnif’Eyes Eye Contouring Palette* popping up everywhere. At this stage there are two palettes, one containing browns and nudes (Keep Calm and Wear Gold) and the other palette containing more purple and blues (Grunge Glamour) for a smokey eye look. Each palette retails for $19.95 and contains 8 shades with a mixture of shimmers and mattes. Personally I love that it has everything you need to create a beautiful eye look.
Today I wanted to share a simple eye look I created using just the Rimmel Magnif’Eyes Eye Contouring Palette* in Keep Calm and Wear Gold.
To start off I used the second shade from the left, a light matte mauve and applied to my socket and just above using a MAC 217.
I then went in with a darker matte shade, the third from the right and applied directly into the socket and blended out. I also applied a bit to my lower lash line for added definition. Personally, I found that the matte shades weren’t that pigmented and I needed a lot of product to build it up.
For the inner eye lid, I applied the light gold shade which is fourth from the left. And then for the middle to end part of my eye I used the next shade, fifth from the left. To intensify the outer corner I went back to the matte shade, third from the right.
To add a little sparkle to my inner tear duct I use the really light gold shade, third from the left.
And to finish off I used Rimmel Scandaleyes Reloaded Mascara* on my top and bottom lashes.
Overall, I love the shade selection, you have everything you need to create a simple or intense eye look. Personally, I found the shimmery shades really pigmented but the matte shades were disappointing. Have you tried it, what’s your thoughts?
