With the festive season literally upon us and with party after party, I wanted to share with you how I get my skin into shape ahead of all the celebrations.
A Week Before
In addition to doing a face mask, make sure you are regularly exfoliating your face. Personally, I don’t like physical exfoliants as I find them too harsh. I prefer a chemical exfoliant that will remove all the dead skin cells and will leave me with glowy skin. I recommend Alpha H Liquid Gold* as the results are instant!
You also need to apply your serums and moisturisers every evening to make sure your skin stays hydrated and looks healthy. With all the drinking that will be happening over the coming weeks, keeping your skin hydrated is a must. For serums I love Estee Lauder Advanced Night Repair and for moisturiser I’ve really been loving; Neutrogena Hydro Boost and Skinstitut Moisture Defence Ultra Dry*.
The Night Before
Face mask, followed by a chemical exfoliant. If you use Alpha H Liquid Gold, you’re better off not applying a moisturiser after. But if your skin is feeling a bit dry, make sure to moisturise.
On The Day
Cleanse your skin with your normal cleanser, nothing too harsh. Follow up with a facial spray, I love the Wildcrafted Organics Rose Mist* super fine and smells divine. If you need to make your makeup last a long time, I recommend using Hylamide Pore Control*. Personally, I find it best at minimising my oils. If you’re going to be in the sun please wear SPF. I’ve been loving Ultraceuticals UV Protective Daily Moisturiser SPF 30 Mattifying* and it’s also a moisturiser, so it’s a great two in one product. From there go ahead with your makeup.
I know it seems simple, but ultimately to have good skin it takes work and doesn’t have to be over complicated. Enjoy the festive season and stay safe xx
