Hi Beauties,
This year I wanted to do something a bit different with yearly favourites. There’s been so many brilliant new discoveries that are note worthy but not necessarily favourites, but they always seem to get missed. So, to avoid that I wanted to do a post all about the best beauty finds of 2016! At the end of the year I’ll do a round up of all my faves, so you’ll see what makes the cut!
This serum was the first organic skincare product that truly worked! This got me so excited to try organic skincare. Love love love, click here for a review of the Antopides Brightening Serum.
You all know how much I’ve loved this face oil! This with the Antipodes Serum has been a match made in heaven! Click here for a full review.
Wild Crafted Organics Skincare Range*
After I fell in love with the Antipodes serum I wanted to try more organic skincare and was introduced to Wild Crafted Organics skincare. The range is quite small however extremely effective. Click here for a full review of the range.
I tried the Skinstitut range later into the year, and feel in love! I pretty much loved all the products I tried, but a personal fave were the Glycolic Acid products. Click here for a full review of the range.
Skin Physics Dragons Blood Range
When I first started using this range, I had no idea what Dragons Blood was. But after a couple of weeks using it my skin was noticeably brighter and clearer. I’ve got my mother in law onto this and now she is obsessed! Click here for a review of the Skin Physics Dragons Blood Range.
Hylamide Booster Series Pore Control*
I’ve only used this for a couple of weeks, but had to include it. If you have oily skin you need to check out this serum! Click here for a full review.
Becca Back Light Priming Filter*
I was lucky enough to trial this out early into the year when it was first released. My hesitation with this primer was, I have oily skin and was worried this was going to make my makeup look extra oily. That was definitely not the case. I don’t know what it is about the primer but it creates this most amazing luminous glow without making you oily. Click here for a full review.
Hylamide Booster Series Photography Foundation*
This is such a unique product and I prefer to use this as a liquid highlighter as a base for my powder highlighter. And OMG, my highlight is popping! See below x
Now this is a really underrated product. At first I didn’t really like it but over time I began to really enjoy using it. I love that its thin, light weight and provides a beautiful highlighted effect. The only negative is it doesn’t provide full coverage. In the above image, I’m wearing the Thin Lizzy concealer under my eyes.
Cream Contouring
I finally found cream contouring and really love doing it on a night out! There are so many great cream contour kits out on the market, here’s a few I’ve reviewed: Anastasia Beverly Hills Cream Contour Kit*, Lóreal Infallible Sculpt Palette* and the Australis AC On Tour Cream Contour Kit*.
Now this is another product that I didn’t really rate at first but overtime fell in love with it. My sister in law always uses it when she’s stays with me and loves it! I love using it after I’ve curled my hair for some added volume and texture. In the photo below, I’ve used the spray for some added texture and volume.
