Brand Focus: Keune

Hello beauties,

You know me, I’m a hair novice. I buy all the tools of the trade yet don’t know what to do with all the hair products. I like to think most gals are like me, comment below if you’re like me and have way too many hair products. Moving on, I was invited by Keune to the launch of their new range BLEND which is unisex and allows you to layer multiple products without making your hair greasy or weighed down. I was a little sceptical, but was willing to be proven wrong. Here’s my thoughts on the range:

Processed with Snapseed.

Keune BLEND Refreshing Spray*

The Refreshing Spray is equivalent to a dry shampoo, without completely absorbing the natural hair oils. What I’m trying to say is, the Refreshing Spray is to be used on clean or semi-clean hair to add some grit and texture to make it easier to style. It’s by no means a dry shampoo as your hair will still look oily if it’s really dirty. I like to use this on freshly clean hair or day 2 hair to add some texture before styling my hair.

Keune BLEND Sea Salt Spray*

Love this Sea Salt Spray! It’s quite a wet formula so don’t spray too much before styling dry hair. You can apply this on wet and dry hair, I tend to do both so I get heaps of volume and texture. Below is a photo of my hair after I’ve used the Refreshing Spray and Sea Salt Spray.

Keune BLEND Shape*

To be honest I didn’t really know what to do with this product. I think it would be more suited to people with short hair, but hey I still wanted to try it on my long mane. I applied a little bit of this creamy waxy texture to my damp hair and avoided my scalp. I then blow dried my hair and OMG I had so much volume! While this isn’t a volumizing product it added heaps of volume and some texture.

Below is my hair using Shape when my hair was wet, then using the Keune Sea Salt Spray and the Refreshing Spray on dry hair. Also please note that the below image is second day hair, hence the lack of extreme volume.

Overall I do really like the range. I think the products are really easy to use and they are right in saying you can layer the products without you hair getting greasy or weighed down. If you’re interested in trialling out their products, you can purchase directly from the Keune website, or at selected stockists.

I’ve also just launched a Facebook page @rachelbeautystyle and would really appreciated if you give me a like! Thanks R x
