Hello beauties,
You may have seen a couple of weeks ago I was lucky enough to be invited to the launch of the Revlon X Chloe Morello Contour Kit*. What an exciting collaboration, a leading drugstore brand with a big deal beauty vlogger! It was interesting to hear how to collaboration eventuated, with Chloe partaking as an advisor on the product itself as she is a big lover of contouring. A couple months down the track, they decided to collaborate and now the kit is known as the Revlon X Chloe Morello Contour Kit!
About the Revlon X Chloe Morello Contour Kit*:
- Retails for $24.95 and available in stores from October 27, 2016
- Available in two shades; Light – Medium and Medium – Tan
- Each kit comes with four shades; banana powder- for under the eyes, glow- for highlight, bronze- for added warmth and sculpt- the contour and defining shade
- The powders themselves are really buttery and blendable
- The pigmentation is great with the highlight surprisingly popping; as evident on Chloe at the launch party
- From the top; Banana, Glow, Bronzer and Contour
Overall Thoughts:
Overall I’m impressed with the quality of the product and love that you have all the powders you need in one palette to create a flawless makeup look. Unfortunately, the darkest kit; Medium – Tan is still not dark enough for me to use for bronzing, however the contour shade provides a light contour on my skin. If you’re darker me then this is a miss. As you can see from the arm swatches above, the bronzer and contour shade are barely visible however are visible on my face. Even though the bronzer and contour are light for me, I was very impressed with all the powders. And yes, I have to agree with Chloe the highlight shade is suprisingly amazing!
- Here’s the completed look using all powders from the Contour Kit.
- Look at that contour! Using the Revlon Contour Brush.
- Look at that popping highlight! Obsessed!
In addition to the Contour Kit, Revlon have also launched a contour and blush brush which are awesome when creating a chiselled look.

Update: I’ve hit pan on the contour shade because I love it so much! I use this palette pretty much everyday and have already repurchased!

Such a shame it was too light! Let me know if you do any swatches so I can see if it’s too light for me too 🙂

I’m such a bad blogger, I really should do swatches. I’ll make sure to do some over the weekend. On second thoughts, the contour isn’t too light. It comes across more the a bronzer for me…

These contour kits look very practical with four colours, I love the Banana shade and highlighter. I hope the shade selection will be suitable for my light to medium skin tone.

If you have fairer skin, check out the light palette. I love that the palette has everything you need, minus a blush! I wish it had a blush x

You look fabulous! I’ve never got the hang of contouring – or even proper highlighting, for that matter. Love that pop of highlight on you!

Thank you for the kind words. Don’t worry, I’m not that good with contouring. Sometimes its a hit sometimes its a miss. This is a great starting out palette as its really easy to blend and the colours aren’t too muddy.

Just to note that the light/medium kit is cooler but the medium/tan is more yellow toned. It’s not so crazy dark that it couldn’t be blended out though. Probably best to swatch in store if you have fair skin with yellow tones though, to see which suits you best.
