Beauty Essentials for Oily Skin

Hello beauties,

As a suffer of oily skin, jokes! It’s really not that bad having oily skin. If you have oily skin, you’re more likely to age better, meaning less wrinkles, WOO HOO!! Moving on… As I have oily skin there are many different challenges I face that other skin types won’t face. Here’s the holy grail products that work well with my oily skin.

GlamGlow Super Clearing Treatment

A weekly face mask is essential to absorb all the excess oil from your skin. GlamGlow is my personal favourite as its great at controlling blemishes as well. If blemishes are not a concern, there are plenty of cheaper alternatives on the market.

Alpha H Liquid Gold

This is my holy grail skincare product in general! I use this every second night as a chemical exfoliant to remove all the dead skin cells. This leaves my skin looking clearer and glowier. Not necessarily oil controlling, but you can’t go wrong with this!

Benefit Porefessional

I love this primer! When you have oily skin, you probably have enlarged pores as well. This primer is awesome at minimising pores but also prolonging the wear of foundation. Click here for a drugstore alternative that’s just as good.

Tarte Amazonian Clay Full Coverage Airbrush Foundation

This is my holy grail foundation. Personally I find when I wear liquid foundation I’m bound to get oily so during summer I use the Tarte foundation as a setting powder. I also love using the Tarte foundation as my all over foundation as throughout the day when my natural oils come through I find the foundation looks even better!

Urban Decay Setting Spray

I’m not the biggest fan on Setting Sprays, which you’ll recall from this post. But I thought I would still mention the cult favourite Urban Decay Setting Spray as my friends that also have oily skin, highly recommend it for keeping their makeup lasting well throughout the day.
