Review: Wildcrafted Organics

Hello beauties,

As you all know I’m a skincare junkie, but what you might not know is that I’ve been trying to move to a more natural approach to skincare for the past couple of months. I don’t think I will ever use 100% natural products, but I’m going to try to use more natural products.

I was first introduced to the Wildrcrafted Organics skincare range by my friend Fay who is a naturopath who specialises in natural beauty. Make sure to check out here…. Back to Wildcrafted Organics… The brand was created by Australian Herbalist and Nutritionist Nicole O’Sullivan. Each product contains high concentrations of certified Organic and or Wildcrafted Botanicals to help nourish, rebuild and protect your skin. Here’s my thoughts about the range:

Wildcrafted Organics Neroli Cleansing Oil*

This is slightly heavier/ thicker cleansing oil than what I’ve used in the past but I actually prefer it as its easier to work with. Typically I remove my eye and lip makeup before but I recently ran out of cotton rounds and used this straight on top of my makeup and it removed all traces of the makeup beautifully. I use about 7 pumps, gently warm up in my hands then start massing onto my face. To remove the cleansing oil, I use a warm muslin cloth and hold it against my face then wipe away the residue. This leaves my skin feeling cleansed and moisturised. Personally I would double cleanse with a non-oil cleanser as it’s a bit heavy for my oily skin but if you have dry skin you could use this to double cleanse.

Wildcrafted Organics Wild Rose Botanical Mist*

This is honestly the most beautiful and luxurious face mist I’ve ever tried! The mist is super fine, the smell is intoxicating but not overwhelming of rose. I’ve tried the Jurlique Rose Mist, and I can honestly say the Wildcrafted Organics Mist is 100 times better! I’ve been using this as my toner but also throughout the day to freshen up my skin.

Wildcrafted Organics Wildflowers Rejuvenating Serum*

First off this is not your traditional serum, it’s a thick oil. This serum is jam packed with all my faves, argan oil, rosehip oil and vitamin E. You can use this morning and night after toning but before moisturiser. I have use half a pump in the morning and my makeup looks beautiful all day with no added oil. If I use too much of the serum it can make my makeup look a bit oilier. I do prefer to use this at night and use one to two pumps and massage into my face. This is a beautiful combination of oils, target at reducing the signs of ageing, increasing collagen production and hydrating the skin.

Overall Thoughts:

After my first use of the Wildcrafted Organics range I was hooked! I love the look, feel and smell of all the products. I also think this is a great introduction to organic skincare, simple yet effective. At first my skin did break out a little, but that could be a variety of things such as poor diet, hormonal or my skin purging the toxins. After persevering my skin looked noticeably hydrated and plump (second photo below). I also found that the serum did an amazing job at reducing the pigmentation on my skin. Overall I was really impressed with the range and think the price point is extremely reasonable for quality you get.  Wildcrafted Organics is available from their website or from Luna Beauty and Apothecary. If you check out the Luna Beauty and Apothecary store in Surry Hills, make sure to smell the Wildcrafted Organics candles, they’re amazing!
