As you all know I’m a big fan of liquid lipsticks! I’m willing to pretty much try any liquid lipstick in the hope that they’ll be long wearing without being drying and have an awesome colour selection! Not to much to ask for, right? I did a liquid lipstick swatch fest a while back, click here to check it out. In the mean time I’ve added a lot more to my collection so here’s some swatches and mini reviews of each x
The original makers in liquid lipsticks and a personal favourite of mine a part from the controversy…. The lipstick formula is thin, easy to apply, great pigmentation and lasting power. I love this new shade Riot and think it would be suitable for all skin tones.
New to the drugstore market, these matte lipsticks aren’t your traditional drying matte lipsticks. The texture reminds me of the NYX Soft Matte Lip Creams, quite creamy and moisturising. They don’t dry completely matte and don’t have the best lasting power but are nice if you’re after something a bit more moisturising on the lips.
These dry matte really quickly so you need to work quickly. The texture is more moussey and a little drying on the lips. They last really well when eating and drinking and they’re not difficult to reapply.
These remind me of the Jeffree Star Velour Liquid Lipsticks, from packaging to formula. Really easy to apply, great pigmentation, dries quickly and completely matte but not extremely drying on the lips. Definitely an underrated brand.
Another newbie to the drugstore. Very mousey and creamy and doesn’t dry matte. I love that they’re comfortable on the lips.
My favourite liquid lipstick brand, again minus the controversy. However I should mention that this shade Anna Nicole applies a bit streaky. But the other shades I own, all apply easily, lasts really well, not too drying and easy to reapply.
Brite Organix Matte Lipstick*
Another newbie to the drugstore and a bargain at $9.99 each! I find them difficult to apply as they have a long dofer applicator so I highly recommend a lip liner. I noticed the pigmentation and application varies depending on the shade, for example Mad is difficult to apply. Once applied they all look beautiful and takes a little while to dry matte. They do last well when eating but are a little difficult to reapply.
I’ve also just launched a Facebook page @rachelbeautystyle and would really appreciated if you give me a like! Thanks R x
