Hello beauties,
Avéne is a cult French Pharmacy skincare brand that has been available in Australia for years, yet is new to me. I’ve recently tried a few things from the range and wanted to share my thoughts on some of their best sellers and new release products.
Avéne Cleanance Micellar Water*
This is Avéne’s new release Micellar Water targeted at oily/ acne prone skin. I haven’t tried the original so I can’t compare. But using this Micellar Water I found it effective at removing makeup including eye makeup. It didn’t remove all my eye makeup, but did a good job and didn’t sting.
Like most cleansing foams they are targeted at oily skin types. However this is the most gentle and soft feeling cleansing foam I’ve used and personally I think would be suitable for all skin types. This is quite a dense/ thick cleansing foam with no scent. This is great as a morning and evening cleanser, that removes excess oil and remnants of makeup without drying out the skin.
Avéne Thermal Spring Water Spray
I bought this just before Bali to use while I was away and it was a truly luxurious product! The mist is super fine, drying quickly and leaving skin feeling a bit more hydrated. I’ve also tried the La Roche Posay Thermal Spring Water Spray and the Avéne one is definitely better as the mist is more fine.
This moisturiser doesn’t contain any nasties and is honestly a beautiful gentle moisturiser. The moisturiser is so lovely and thin, yet still hydrating to use as a morning moisturiser. I haven’t tried it as an evening moisturiser as I like my evening moisturisers quite thick. Generally speaking, this moisturiser is suitable for all skin types and people preferring lighter weight moisturisers.
This is targeted at acne prone skin for adults as adult acne is different to teenage acne. The differences include; inimal hyperseborrhea, deep inflamed lesions and high risk of scarring.I haven’t needed to try this product as my skin is quite good, so I can’t comment on it.
As you can see I’ve loved using all the products. Personally I think the whole range is suitable of all skin types, regardless of what the packaging states. If you’re after a non fuss, effective and affordable skincare range than Avéne is for you. Avéne is available from Priceline.
I’ve also just launched a Facebook page @rachelbeautystyle and would really appreciated if you give me a like! Thanks R x
