MAC is a much loved beauty brand for all, but can be daunting if you’re new to makeup so today’s post is all about the hits from MAC. To this day I still get overwhelmed by the variety at MAC, so even if you’re a regular MAC shopper hopefully you’ll find some new faves!
This is a great heavy duty, long wearing concealer for blemishes. I personally find it too heavy under the eyes, however many people do use it under the eyes. This provides full coverage and is great at hiding those pesky spots!
Teddy is a beautiful chocolately brown, shimmer eyeliner! Because its brown it’s a lot softer than black. I use this both in my water line and my top lash line for added definition.
You can’t go past MAC eyeshadows, they have a beautiful selection of colours and the quality is impeccable. The eyeshadows are really pigmented and easy to blend. Yes there are cheaper alternatives out there, but if you wear eyeshadow a lot then you need some MAC ones in your life. Click here to find my top picks for MAC eyeshadows.
While Soft and Gentle is not my all time favourite highlighter, I do think it’s pretty special. Its definitely grown on me as I’ve realised you can keep it subtle or build it up for an intense highlight. Soft and Gentle is quite a neutral highlight, leaning more towards the silvery/ pinky side and is universally flattering.
MAC lipsticks are definitely the best on the market! I love all the finishes except Retro Matte, which are exceptionally drying. Click here for some of my favourite MAC Lipsticks, including lipstick swatches. They’ve kinda changed so I’ll recap a few of my faves, Twig, Rebel, Lady Danger, Whirl.
MAC Fix Plus + should not be confused as a setting spray as it will not prolong the wear of your makeup. MAC Fix Plus + can help settle makeup so it looks less powdery but won’t prolong it. I like it both to settle my makeup but also to intensify my eyeshadow or pigments to become more foiled. I spritz my eyeshadow brush and it automatically changes any eyeshadow to become a foiled eyeshadow.
