First Impressions: Skeyndor Essential Range for Oily/Combination Skin

Hello beauties,

Have you heard of Skeyndor before? Well I haven’t until recently. After a little bit more research on the brand I found out that Skeyndor started out in Spain (making it even more difficult to find information in English). Skeyndor is a skincare brand that can typically be found in beauty spas and salons.

Here’s a few products I trialled out, tailored to my oily/ combination skin.

Skeyndor Normalizing Mask Cream*

This is a Moisturising Clay Mask. I applied a generous layer as directed from the instructions and found it to be a slightly heavier texture to the Kora Organics Hydrating Mask (click here for a review). It’s not a traditional clay mask, it’s not dying but quite comfortable on the skin. After a couple of minutes I noticed a tingle on my face, which is abnormal as my skin is very stubborn. I left it on for about 15 minutes as recommended and washed it off with a warm muslin cloth. I found my skin was very clear, looked more fresh and plump and a tad red.

Skeyndor Soft Peeling*

I was a little concerned when I saw “Peeling”. I never done a peel at home so I was a little concerned. However once I dispensed some of the product it came out as a creamy exfoliator… Very confusing. I applied a generous amount and left it on for about 2 to 5 minutes as recommended. I then massaged it into my skin with some water, as directed. This was interesting because even though it looked like an exfoliator it didn’t feel rough on my skin. There was a slight tingle still, but that could be from using the face mask beforehand. After washing off the peel my skin look noticeably brighter.

Skeyndor Moisturizing Emulsion*

This is the Skeyndor moisturiser targeted at oily/combination skin. This moisturiser is extremely lightweight, great for day time, personally not enough hydration for night time. After doing the mask and peel I definitely found that my skin didn’t have enough moisture just from the cream alone. I needed to add a few drops of face oil for some added hydration.

Overall I think the Face Mask and Peel are hits from the range and the moisturiser a miss. I think the Mask and Peel are quite unique and actually work at brightening my skin. The moisturiser is not terrible, I just didn’t find it that hydrating. I can see why it would be loved by oily gals, but I guess I’m more combo than oily now and need more hydration.

The Skeyndor range is available online from their website,
