Makeup of the Day: How to Look Healthy When You’re Sick

Hello lovelies,

With the weather cooling down, it’s definitely the season to get sick. While my recommendation is to always take a sick day when you’re actually sick it’s not always practical. There’s times when you still need to go to work or go out and about, the world never stops. Here’s a few makeup products I find that makes me look healthy, even when I feel like shit x

Rimmel #Insta Flawless- Medium/ Dark*

This is a BB cream that provides decent coverage, a luminous finish and lasts pretty well throughout the day. I thought it was a primer and was very mistaken, however you can use this as a base under foundation. You can apply this directly with your fingers or with a Beauty Blender or brush. If you’re oily a bit of powder would help.

Below shows my bare skin, only moisturiser.

Below shows my skin with just the Rimmel #InstaFlawless. It provides some coverage, illuminates the skin providing a healthy glow.

Maybelline Fit Me Concealer- 35

This concealer is great as its creamy, sets well, provides decent coverage, while also highlighting, making you look more awake and healthy!

Rimmel Scandal’Eyes- Nude

Nude eyeliner makes you instantly look more aware, wide eye and fresh. The Rimmel eyeliner is creamy to apply in the waterline but also lasts well thoughout the day.

Mascara is a must. If I don’t wear mascara I look instantly sick. I make sure to curl my lashes first then apply mascara to my top and bottom lashes.

Milani Baked Blush- Berry Amore

Bronzer is an optional step. If you’re sick you probably can’t be bothered. But blush is essential as you need to have some colour on your cheeks. This Milani Baked Blush is great as it has some shimmery flecks which creates a highlighted effect as well.

The Beauty Chef Beauty Fix Balm*

Personally when I’m sick and blowing my nose I tend to wipe off any lipstick I’m wearing from my top lip (not a sexy look). In these instances lip balm is the best way to go. The Beauty Chef Beauty Fix Balm is a great all-rounder for dry skin. You can apply to your lips but also to dry patches of skin like your nose after lots of sniffles.

Hope these product recommendations help you too look healthy and alive when you feel horrible. Also make sure to drink heaps of fluids and I found Armerforce is a great supplement to build up my immune system.

Also here’s the look using products that provide more coverage. I used Rimmel #InstaFlawless as a primer than Loreal True Match Foundation for extra coverage. I also added some bronzer and highligher. On the lips wearing Jeffree Star Anna Nicole.
