Happy Sunday! Hope you’re all enjoying what’s left of your weekend! With today’s post I wanted to share with you my new weekly pamper session to unwind and prepare me for the week ahead! Here’s a few of my favourite products and rituals for a Sunday evening. There’s also a sneaky giveaway at the end 😉
First off, get the tub ready. Fill it up with warm water, don’t get carried away with the hot water (I’ve burnt myself so many times, I’m very new to baths).
While the water is still filling up I throw in some bath salts and pour some of the bath foam in. The Natura Siberica Bath Foam, foams up really well and smells beautiful like the rest of their products from the Oblepikha range (click here for a review).
While the tub is still filling up I apply a face mask and get a magazine or my iPad ready. I think candles are also essential to set the mood! My favourite candles are Glasshouse and Circa Home*. Click here for a full review of the Dermalogica Charcoal Mask.
When the tub is all full, I slowly go in and start to unwind. I don’t use my phone or read my magazine, I need a few moments to adjust to the temperature and take a few moments for myself. When I’m ready I move onto a body scrub. The bitchinskin Matcha Body Scrub* is not the best in a bath as it left a green film on my tub. Not fun after a relaxing bath to have to scrub the tub out… I much prefer the Natura Siberica Body Scrub*.
When I’m almost done in the bath I wash off my mask, it helps to have a muslin cloth nearby. I then jump out of the bath, sometimes I rinse off with a quick shower.
To finish off, body cream or lotion is a must, especially in the lead up to winter. This Redwin Body Lotion is extremely light weight, lightly scented and absorbs quickly. I prefer this lotion in the morning as its quite light weight. However by mixing in some of the Redwin Coconut Oil I get some added hydrated.
