Teenage Blemish Prone Skincare Routine

Hello lovelies,

I’ve recently been asked by a teenage family friend for some skincare advice. This is for you 😉

Hopefully this post will also provide some advice to anyone with blemish prone skin. Here’s a few products that will help with pesky spots, the products themselves are affordable and the routine is super simple.

Benzac Daily Facial Liquid Cleanser*

This is a gentle cleanser targeted at blemish prone skin and can be used morning and night. It’s a gel like texture but more liquidy than a gel. Personally I love that this removes all the excess oils without drying out my skin, however it’s not the best at removing the last remnants of makeup. It also contains Calendula and Aloe Vera so it’s quite soothing on the skin.

QV Oil Free Moisturiser*

Even if you’re oily or are blemish prone you still need to moisturise your skin to replenish the natural oils removed. This moisturiser is awesome! It’s extremely lightweight, thin in consistency and blends really quickly. It doesn’t dry quite matte, but it definitely doesn’t leave a sheen on the face. It also works well under makeup.

Rosehip Plus Rosehip Oil*

Even if you have oily skin, Rosehip Oil is great, especially for blemish prone skin as it reduces acne pigmentation. I’ve been using Rosehip Oil for years to reduce my acne pigmentation and I love that it’s completely natural. One to two drops is more than enough, any more and you could break out. Below are a few different facial oils, but for a someone that is on a budget and is looking for something to reduce pigmentation, then Rosehip Plus Rosehip Oil is the one to go with!

Mario Badescu Drying Lotion

This is my Holy Grail spot treatment. If a pesky spot has come up I apply this using a cotton bud and the following morning the spot it gone or reduced considerably!

I hope this simple skincare routine has helped. Feel free to comment with more questions and I’ll try to help you or at least point you in the right direction x
