In case you didn’t realise Mother’s Day is on Sunday 8th May (in Australia). Personally I struggle to get mum a present because just after Mother’s Day is her birthday as well. Here’s a few ideas that I’ve done in the past and am hoping to do this year. Hope this gift guide helps!
Photos are always a winner with mums! And these days we don’t usually print photos. Personally I love a photo book, I think it’s nice to see all your photos together and have it as a coffee table book. Mum and I recently went to India so I put all of our photo together. I know she’ll love it! Usually you can get a Groupon voucher and it costs anywhere from $15 to about $40.
Get in early when making a reservation. Last year I took mum for high tea at the Queen Victoria Tea Rooms and she loved it! It was about $65 and you had a selection of savoury and sweet treats, plenty of tea and even the option of wine or champagne. I’ve also done high tea at The Langham and The Stamford, and both do an excellent high tea!
My mum always appreciates when I get her a few makeup bits. This year I’ve recently been introduced to It Cosmetics and I think mum would like the following items; Vitality Lip Blush Hydrating Gloss Stain * and the Vitality Lip Flush 4-in-1 Reviver Lipstick Stain*. The reasons why I love these products and I think mum will too is they’re multi-purpose.
IT Cosmetics Vitality Lip Blush Hydrating Gloss Stain* is the perfect lip gloss, not too sticky, long lasting, adapts to your skin (mine started off clear then finished with a sheer bright pink tint) and has a beautiful staining effect.
The IT Cosmetics Vitality Lip Flush 4-in-1 Reviver Lipstick Stain* feels like a lip balm. I love that is comes in a lipstick bullet so it makes it super easy to apply. I also love the light flush of colour, that adapts to your undertones.
IT Cosmetics is available in Australia exclusively to Sephora! Make sure to check out their range at your local Sephora store x
