First Impressions: John Frieda Beach Blonde Range

Hi Beauties,

I’m not a blonde, but I have balayage hair (dark roots, lighter ends). Even though I’m not a blonde I was super keen to try the John Frieda Beach Blonde range as its their range targeted to create the beachy wave effect. Personally I think naming it Beach Blonde is a bit misleading as all hair colours can use it. Anyway moving on to the review….

John Frieda Beach Blonde Cool Dip Purifying Shampoo $15.99

  • Didn’t smell as salty as I expected, definitely has a hint of a sweet scent
  • Lathers up really well
  • Once my hair was dry I found that it removed a lot of copper from my hair which was an added bonus!

John Frieda Beach Blonde Smooth Seas Detangling Conditioner $15.99

  • Like the shampoo this has a slightly sweet smell
  • Once my hair was dry there was a bit of frizz but not as much as normal and I think you can get away with it when creating a beach wavy hair look….
  • Didn’t make my hair greasy, but that could be because of the sea salt spray

John Frieda Beach Blonde Ocean Waves Sea Salt Spray $16.99

  • This is one of their best selling items. They had stopped selling it a while ago but the fans loved it so much they brought it back
  • I applied this to my wet hair and blow dried my hair. There was a definite wavy texture to my hair
  • The following day my hair still had the texture and slight wave to it. I added some more of the spray and lightly curled my hair and was really happy with the overall look
  • It definitely adds texture and a bit of volume

Overall I was really impressed with the range and am looking forward to continuing to use it. I think the price point is really reasonable considering you’re getting salon quality products. John Frieda is available from Priceline and Chemist Warehouse.
