Brand Focus: Rimmel London

Hello beauties,

Rimmel has to be one of my favourite drugstore brands. They are so innovative, always bringing out new products that it can get overwhelming to know what’s worth buying. Here’s a list of some of their hits and misses. If there’s anything I missed and you want to find out more about, comment below x

Rimmel Match Perfection Foundation*

I’ve already done a review here, click on the direct link in the bio to check out my review. Repurchase: YES

Rimmel Clear Complexion Powder*

This is a new release product targeted at people with acne prone skin. When I first tried it, it reminded me of Rimmel Stay Matte Powder however it didn’t keep the oils at bay. Below is a picture of make up using this powder after a few hours of wear, very oily. Repurchase: NO

Rimmel Sun Shimmer Powder*

Probably the wrong name as there’s no shimmer in this bronzer, its completely matte. Firstly it’s a tad light for me, just keep that in mind (I have the medium shade). Next thing, it’s a bit on the warm/ orange side so if you’re quite fair this isn’t the right bronzer for you. Repurchase: YES

Rimmel Magnif’eyes*

These are a new release eyeshadow stick and they are so good! The pigmentation and staying powder are awesome that I struggled to remove it with Micellar Water! I think the gold one is a dupe for the Stilla Magnificent Metal eyeshadows. Repurchase: YES

Rimmel Eyeliners

I have a few both in the waterproof (Scandal’Eyes) and normal formula (Soft Kohl). The waterproof formula is definitely better. The green shade in the Soft Kohl formula has terrible staying power in the water line and moves around a little if I use it to line my top lashes, however the brown shade in the same formula is brilliant. Repurchase: YES

Rimmel Exaggerate Lip Liners

I have so many of these, and think they’re great! They’re awesome on their own as a matte lipstick or underneath lipsticks. Repurchase: YES

Rimmel Lipsticks

Rimmel lipsticks have to be one of the best drugstore lip products on the market. My favourite formulas include; Rimmel Kate Moss range (matte, satin and nudes), Colour Rush Lip Balm and Provocalips.

  1. I like the clear complexion powder but I feel like it’s really similar to the stay matte but less perfumed and same cheap packaging. I hope you had some blotting papers handy. I got around 3 hours shine free skin out of it. 😐

  2. Rimmel lipsticks are fabulous, I have been on them for years and they keep delivering (although more matte shades would be rad!) I find their eyeshadows are a bit on the chalky side but the Stay Matte foundation was really wearable.
