5 Makeup Items Worth the Hype

Hello lovelies!

There are so many makeup items hyped up in the bloggersphere, but do they really live up to the hype? There have been countless times when I buy a product and I question, why did I even buy this? So here’s my top 5 makeup recommendations that do live up to the hype!

Nivea Post Shave Balm

Nikkie was right, this is an awesome drugstore primer. I’ve been wearing this quite a lot during this warm weather and I’ve honestly noticed a difference with the wear of my makeup. Click here for a full review.

Loreal True Match Foundation

Unfortunately I can’t get my shade in Australia, but lucky for me I stocked up while in the states. This is honestly one of my Holy Grail foundations. I wear this most days to work and I feel more then comfortable to wear it on a night out. Provides great coverage, lasts well and photographs beautifully. Click here for a full review.

 The Balm Mary Lou Manizer

One of my favourite highlighters! I think because I have darker, olive skin the gold undertones of this highlighter works brilliantly for me. I love that you can wear this relatively subtly or build it up for a big bang! Its also beautiful on the eyes as an eyeshadow or inner tear duct highlighter.

Jeffree Star Velour Liquid Lipsticks

I’m obsessed with liquid lipsticks and the Jeffree Star ones are the best I’ve tried! Reasonable colour selection (I wish there was more), decent price point, great quality and long lasting. Click here for a full review.

Makeup Geek Eyeshadows

Another product hyped about on YouTube and I got suckered in hook line and sinker. Lucky for me these were a winner. The colour selection is amazing, the price is so cheap (damn the Aussie dollar for making them more expensive) and the pigmentation and quality is top notch. Click here for a full review.

Have I missed any makeup products? What’s your favourite makeup product that lives up to the hype?
