Makeup of the Day: Valentine’s Day

Happy Valentine’s Day everyone!

I’m not a big V day person and this year I will be spending V day with Bae and my parents then Bae’s family (so romantic, haha!). But none the less I don’t need any excuse to get glammed up.

If you’re stuck for ideas on what do here were my plans, lunch date (its Sunday, I hate going out for dinner on Sunday night), a picnic or check out the markets (I was planning on going to the Flour Markets in Sydney). I think this makeup look I created is perfect for all these occasions, simple, long wearing and quick to do!

1. Nivea Post Shave Balm

Nikkie Tutorials you are amazing! This Post Shave Balm is the best, it really helps with prolonging my makeup.

2. MAC Strobe Cream

I applied a bit of this to the high points of my cheeks and temples to create some glow. I then mixed a bit of the strobe cream with my foundation which ended up being a bad idea because it oxidised my foundation immediately (you can’t really see as I blended the foundation down my neck and made it work).

3. Loreal True Match- N7

4. Maybelline Fit Me Concealer- 35

5. Coty Air Spun Loose Powder- Translucent

I used this powder to set my T zone area and concealer. This powder is fantastic to create a flawless finish and really prolongs the wear of my makeup.

6. The Balm- Betty Lou Manizer

7. Cargo Beach Blush- Miami Beach

This blush is an oldie but a goodie! I only added a bit of colour to the cheeks, but it is buildable depending on the look you’re after. I also love the gold sheen it has.

8. The Balm- Mary Lou Manizer

9. Maybelline Master Brow Palette*

10. Makeup Geek Foiled Eyeshadow- Into the Spotlight

I added a bit of this eyeshadow onto my eyelids using my finger then a fluffy brush to blend out the edges. You can build up the intensity of the eyeshadow, but personally I didn’t want it too bright.

11. Essence Mascara- Lash Mania

The best mascara ever! Adds heaps of volume, length and doesn’t clump.

12. Lipsticks

You can wear whatever lipstick you want to wear! The Colour Theory Lip Crayon* is super comfortable on the lips and has great pigmentation. If you’re after a more glossy finish the YSL Lip Oil is the go, it also adds a stain effect to the lips.
