With the start of the new year I always tend to be time poor when it comes to getting out the door. What with having a bite to eat, preparing my lunch let alone trying to get ready, I knew I needed a quick and easy work makeup look. Here’s a simple makeup look that takes me 10- 15 minutes to do yet still makes me presentable for work!
No7. Boots Beautifully Matte Primer
Priming is essential if you want your makeup too last all day and it’s perfect to prep the skin for makeup.
MAC Select Cover Up Concealer- NC35
I apply this first under my eyes either using my fingers, a small eyeshadow brush or my Beauty Blender.
Tarte Amazonian Clay Airbrush Foundation- Sand Tan
This is my go to foundation if I want to look flawless and have my makeup lasting all day. This foundation is great as its mineral makeup, allowing my skin to breathe through the day. Click here for a full review.
The Balm Betty Lou
A little bronzer never hurt no body! I love this bronzer as its greats a highlighted glow as well. I apply this just above the hollows of my cheekbones and just below the round apples of my cheeks. I then bring a bit up onto the temples of my forehead.
NARS Blush- Torrid
A long wearing blush is essential to add colour back into your face. NARS blushes are by far my faves but if you’re after a drugstore alternative the Milano Baked Blushes are awesome!
Not essential, but I love a bit of glow. I also applied a little bit of the highlight into the inner tear ducts for a pop of highlight!
Maybelline Color Molten Eyeshadow-Nude Rush*
I applied the natural gold shimmery eyeshadow to my lids using my finger. This eyeshadow is a great one wash wonder (when you only need one eyeshadow to make your eye makeup look pulled together). Other great one wash wonders include; MAC All That Glitters, MAC Woodwinked and most cream eye shadows.
Rimmel Super Curler Mascara*
A mascara is a must for both top and bottom lashes. Also I’ve been loving this mascara, I find it adds volume, it’s super dark and holds a curl quite well.
Sephora Lip Cream Stain- 01 Always Red
And to finish off the look a bright lippie is a must for me! I find that a bright lipstick always makes you look like you’ve put in more effort that you actually have… Personally for work I love wearing long wearing lipsticks and the Sephora Lip Cream Stains are great. Other alternatives include; Jeffree Star, Kat Von D and Lime Crime.
Here are some other work looks I’ve created that are very similar using mainly the same products. Comment below what your makeup tricks are to get out of the door quickly in the morning x
