Review: Colour Theory Limited Edition Palettes

Hello beauties!

With Christmas upon us and we’re madly rushing around to find last minute Christmas presents, I thought I’d help you out with some recommendations from Colour Theory.

Colour Theory is exclusive to Amcal Pharmacy.

Colour Theory Snowflake Eyeshadow Palette $15*

The Snowflake Eyeshadow Palette contains a whopping 30 unique eyeshadow colours! That’s crazy! And lets just take a moment to appreciate the beauty of the palette itself, its actually in the shape of a snowflake!

A bit of a negative, even though there is 30 eyeshadows there is not one matte shade…. Slightly disappointing, but I overcame this by using the matte shades in the brow palette (featured below). Back to the Snowflake palette, the pigmentation is alright, some are definitely better than others. One of my faves is the coppery shade, super pigmented! They’re also not too difficult to blend and they last well throughout the day, however I should mention I always prime my eyelids. Below are some looks I created using the Snowflake Palette.

Colour Theory Oh Brow Beautiful! Brow Palette $10*

I was super excited to try this brow palette! I think it’s fair to say, this year and last year has been all about “da brows”. This brow palette contains 3 brow powders, an eyebrow wax, brow bone highlight and eyeshadow colour. So ultimately it’s an eye palette, not just a brow palette. It also comes with a brow pencil, eyeshadow/brow brush and tweezers.

First off I tried to apply the brow powder using the brush provided and its crap! Using my normal brow brush I applied the darkest shade and was impressed with the pigmentation and overall look. It wasn’t as bold as I normally do my brows but still provided enough coverage to fill in my brows. This would be a great product for someone starting to fill in their brows.

Here’s my brows using the dark shade from the brow palette

Overall I’m pretty pleased with the results. The quality of the products are fitting of their price tag. I think these will be really great Christmas presents for young gals that love makeup, or people wanting to expand their makeup collection without forking out the big bucks.

If you’re interested in purchasing these limited edition palettes, make sure to check out your local Amcal Pharmacy or head to their online store.

  1. I’ve seen that palette popping up around the place and it is such a gorgeous looking item for the price . . . would be great if the colours and formulation were on par with the packaging but sounds like a perfect gift for someone just starting out with makeup.
