Makeup Removal Routine

Hello beauties,

I recently realised I’ve talked about my skincare routine and some of my favourite skincare products but I’ve never actually talked about how I remove my makeup. I tend to mix things up, but here’s some of my current products on rotation.

Neutrogena Eye Makeup Remover

If you follow me on Instagram @rachelbeautystyle you would have seen the countless empties of this eye makeup remover. I find this quite effective when removing my eye makeup without drying out the eye area. I douse some of the product on an ALDI cotton round (the best and cheapest cotton rounds!) and rest the cotton round on my eye area then wipe away slowly.

Face Wipes

I know you’re not meant to be using face wipes, but they’re so easy! So long as you properly cleanse after. It can’t be doing that much damage, right? My favourite face wipes are the Simple Spotless Skin Quick Fix Face wipes. But currently I’m using the Burts Bees Grapefruit wipes, which are pretty good (and the smell is amazing!).

Ponds Cold Cream Cleanser

Most nights I use this cleanser to remove my makeup. I scoop a small teaspoon amount onto my hands and work into my dry skin (meaning makeup is still on my face). I massage it all over my face, eye lids and lips. Then using a muslin cloth that has warm water on it, I apply and leave on my face for a second or two then wipe off all the makeup.

The next steps go into my evening skincare routine, which you can check out here.
