Hello beauties,
My love for facial mists started when I was first introduced to the bestselling, Jurlique Rosewater Balancing Mist. But with it being $49.00 for a 100ml bottle I thought I better shop around for a cheaper alternative, enter ModelCo Rose Mist. But is it a dupe?
About Jurlique Rosewater Balancing Mist
Jurlique describes the mist as, “A daily hydrating mist featuring the relaxing scent of rose that restores and hydrates the complexion and is ideal for normal/combination skin types.”
The Jurlique Rosewater Mist is truly refreshing. It’s a beautiful rose fragrance with a fine mist making it comfortable to apply on the skin or on top of makeup. I can see why people use this as a toner as it’s quite gently and adds a hint of hydration. For me I use the Jurlique Rosewater Mist when I’m travelling or when I need a wake me up spritz in the afternoon.
About ModelCo Replenishing Rose Mist Facial Mist
What does ModelCo say, “Refresh, tone and enliven the skin with this ultra-replenishing and balancing facial mist. Specially formulated for instantly softer, smoother, suppler skin.”
Like the Jurlique Rosewater Mist, ModelCo’s Rose Mist is one of the brand’s best sellers. As the name suggests the ModelCo mist is rose fragrant which is quite over powering in comparison to the Jurlique one. Personally I don’t mind the smell but it does remind me of the old nanna rose smell. I also find that the mist is more like a drench as a lot of liquid is sprayed out. Because of this I only use it on freshly cleaned skin as I think if you use it on top of makeup it would disturb it. I think the ModelCo Rose Mist is great for added hydration as you can really feel the mist being absorbed into the skin.

And the winner is….
While the products are very similar in nature I think the Jurlique Rosewater Mist is the winner. The Jurlique Rosewater Mist is so fine and the smell is not over powering which makes it a true luxury to use. However for $20 for 125ml the ModelCo Replenshing Rose Mist is a great alternative if you’re on a budget or looking to delve into the hydrating mist realm.
