I caved and picked up two shades from the Jeffree Star Velour Lipsticks; Redrum and Celebrity Skin. But are they worth the hype?
Currently there are 13 shades available in the collection ranging from nude shades to pinks and reds to your crazy blue colours. They retail for $18USD from the Jeffree Star Cosmetics’ website plus delivery.
In Australia you will need to purchase online through retailers such as Fiebiger Shoes or Makeupnet Australia. Make sure to follow both online retailers on Instagram to take advantage of their free shipping offers.
I caved again and purchased Jeffree Star Androgyny and its beautiful! Below shows it still while its in drying mode, but once its dried it has a slightly more lilac finish.
- Relatively easy to apply straight from the bullet
- Not too drying on the lips
- No weird smell, no smell at all
- Cute, yet sleek packaging
- The lasting power varies depending on what I eat and drinks
- Generally speaking the lipsticks last a couple of hours before needing touching up in the middle
I think these lipsticks are well worth the hype which is why they made it into my July faves. They are on the pricey side but I think you’ll have them for a long time so it’s totally worth it!
