Hair Care Routine

Hello beauties,

Hope you’re having a lovely day and are enjoying the blog! I realised I haven’t really talked about what hair products I use so I thought I’d share it with you today.

A little bit about my hair:

  • My scalp can be a bit flaky at times which can be mistaken for dandruff but it’s not
  • My hair is not oily
  • My hair is coloured and I’m extremely concerned about damaging my hair

SP Wella Shampoo- Balance Scalp

The SP Wella range was recommended to me by my hairdresser. Automatically alarm bells are ringing! Yes, it’s expensive, but I buy it online so it’s only a bit more expensive than if you were to buy a shampoo from the supermarket. I use the Balance Scalp Shampoo because sometimes I have white flecks on my scalp which can be mistaken for dandruff. This shampoo has really helped control my scalp without it becoming oily or dry.

SP Wella Conditioner- Color Save

I’m not sure if this really does anything, but the hairdresser recommended this conditioner to lock in the colour while keeping my hair hydrated.

TRESemme- Heat Tamer Protective Spray

My go-to heat protector. Super cheap and does the job perfectly without making my hair oily. I use a few spritz after the blow dry cream.

Kardashian Beauty Smooth Styler Blow Dry Cream*

I find this cream makes my fair glossy (not oily) and smooth even if I don’t straighten my hair. Also the smell is divine!

Coconut Oil

Coconut oil has to be the best hair mask and its really affordable! I use the coconut oil as a hair mask by applying it to my hair the night before I want to wash it. Coconut oil comes in a hard form but once you scoop some onto your hand and warm it up it melts into a liquid. I put quite a lot in my hair mixing it in at the roots and at the ends. In the morning when you wash your hair I recommend a double shampoo and using less conditioner. You will notice your hair looking super shiny and healthy!

Tip: Make sure to wash your pillow cases the next day as they will be quite oily and you don’t want that going on your face.

  1. I love using coconut oil as a hair mask! I love it for so many different things but using it as a hair mask is my favourite. I have to be careful though because I often apply too much and have difficulty washing it all out! I’ve never tried the Wella range. My hairdresser tends to recommend the Kevin Murphy/Kerastase ranges x

  2. I’m keen to try the SP Balance Scalp Shampoo since I also get white flakes that looks like dandruff. So annoying!
