Hello Beauties,
I’m always hunt for a bargain, aren’t we all? Today I bring you a review of the Benefit Porefessional (high end) and Innoxa Pore Vanishing Cream (drugstore). But is the drugstore product as good as the high end?
Benefit describes their Porefessional as, “Quickly minimize the appearance of pores & fine lines for smoother-than-smooth skin! Apply this silky, lightweight balm alone, under or over makeup. Translucent, oil-free formula complements all skintones and helps makeup stay put. Contains a Vitamin E derivative, known to protect skin from free radicals.”
This is a great primer to minimise the size of pores, create a smooth base and prolong the wear of your foundation. For a 22ml tube it retails for $53, by no means cheap, however I should mention that a little bit of this product goes a long way. My tube lasted almost a year when used on a daily basis.I should also mention, the Porefessional is a white/ translucent colour and feels like it is silicone based.
About Innoxa Skin Perfect Pore Vanishing Cream
Innoxa describes their Pore Vanishing Cream as, “A skin perfector that helps neutralise the skin, minimise the appearance of shine and creates a smooth base. Light reflecting and soft focus pigments help conceal imperfections. This stimulating formula works in synergy with natural plant derived extracts to help; improve skin condition, increase hydration & visually improve the appearance of the skin surface.”
Like the Porefessional this primer is great to minimise the size of pores, create a smooth base and prolong the wear of your foundation. It also has a slight orange tint which helps neutralise the skin, but don’t be alarmed the orange tint disappears when worked into the skin. Differently from the Porefessional, I find the Innoxa primer to have more of a cream texture with a slight silicone feel. For a 10ml tube it retails for $17.95 and can regularly be seen on sale at Priceline. An added bonus is the whole Innoxa range is cruelty free.
And the winner is….
Personally I find that both products do the same thing. If I’m really going to be a knit picker I would say the Benefit Porefessional minimises pores and prolongs makeup that little bit longer. Overall though I would say Innoxa is the winner! Great product at a more affordable price. Make sure to try it out when its next on sale.

I find the the Maybelline Pore Eraser works almost exactly the same as the Porefessional. Have you tried that before? DF xo

Great to know that the Innoxa cream is similar to Benefit’s Porefessional. Will also have to check out Doanerfide’s suggestion of the Maybelline Pore Eraser.
Thanks for linking up to the Monday Makeup Madness #14 link up party!
