On the weekends I don’t normally wear makeup but sometimes I feel like a little something. Here’s my quick go to makeup that I wear on the weekend and typically my go to travel makeup. It takes me less than 10 minutes to apply so it’s perfect when you’re in a rush or want minimal fuss.
I apply a small dollop full all over my face using my Real Techniques Stippling Brush.
Optional: Concealer for under the eyes and to cover any blemishes
Optional: Powder if you need it. I barely powder and the BB Cream stayed on the face well.
Bronzer is a must for me. I apply it using a 3 motion, starting from under my cheekbones, drag it up to my temples and back down to my jawline.
I apply my blush directly to the apples of my cheeks. What’s great about this blush is that it has a shimmer to it, so it’s like a 2 in 1 product, blush and highlighter!
Optional: Fill in your brows or at a minimum comb them through.
I always curl my lashes first then coat the top and bottom lashes.
Lipstick or Gloss
You can apply a balm, gloss or lipstick. When I wear a simple base I prefer a coloured lip, I feel it looks like I’ve put in loads of effort.
With the products listed above adapt them to suit your skin and your bank account. The Smashbox BB Cream is amazing for my skin, but there are many cheaper alternatives out there. Here are some alternative product recommendations:
- Garnier BB Cream- Combination/Oily Formula
- Maybelline Instant Age RewindConcealer
- Rimmel Stay Matte Powder
- Ben Nye Banana Powder
- NYX Blushes
- NARS Blushes
- Maybelline Lipsticks
- Rimmel Kate Moss Lipsticks
