10 Holy Grail Makeup Items

I’m not going to lie, my makeup favourites change on a regular basis. But for now here are my holy grails with a mini review of each for you x

1. Tarte Amazonian Clay Full Coverage Airbrush Foundation

A medium to full coverage mineral powder foundation. Great staying power on my oily skin and looks better throughout the day as your oils blend with the foundation.

2. Benefit Brow Zing- Dark

Having my brows filled in is a must. The Benefit Brow Powder is great as you can easily control how dark and defined you want your brows. Just remember less is more.

3. Maybelline Instant Age Rewind- Dark

Best drugstore under eye concealer, enough said.

4. NARS Bronzer- Casino

Since I’m darker NARS Laguna doesn’t suit, but Casino is the perfect shade for me. It has a bit of a shimmer but not too much. It’s perfect to add colour back to the face.

5. Milani Baked Blush- Berry Amore

One of my random makeup purchases from New York but what a gem. Only $8 yet the pigmentation, colour and lasting power is amazing! Goes to show you don’t always need to spend the big bucks to get quality products.

6. Essence Highlighter

I personally love this more than The Balm Mary-Lou-Manizer. This highlighter is amazing and is the perfect neutral shade, not too gold, silver or pink.

7. Urban Decay Primer Potion

Priming my eyelids are essential and this works a treat!

8. MAC Eyeshadows

You just can’t go past MAC eyeshadows. Great colour selection, easy to blend and long wearing (when using a primer). Since I have quite a few MAC eyeshadows I’ll put together my recommended starter kit in the coming weeks.

9. Maybelline the Falsies Mascara

Why pay the big bucks on mascara when you’re going to throw it away after 3 months? This mascara is great to lengthen, add volume and does not crumble.

10. MAC Lipsticks

So many lippies to choose from and I’m ashamed at seeing how large my collection is. In the coming weeks I’ll share some swatches of my favourites. Overall they’re great quality but honestly they’re a rip off here, try and save up for a trip to the US 😉
